30 June 1947. Bugsy Siegel was murdered on 20 June 1947 at Virginia Hill’s home in Beverly Hills. Four days earlier, she took an unscheduled flight to Paris. Had she any idea of what was in store for him? You bet she did. Here she is, 10 days after his death, stepping out from her hotel. A mimeographed slug attached to the photo explains:
