October 1947. A caption on the back of the photo reads:
A face-framing hood and free-swinging jacket distinguish Margo of California’s young gabardine suit in lush California colors. Previewed in Paris on October 16, the San Francisco-designed ensemble will be seen in smart shops next Spring. The hood is detachable.
An index card also attached to the photo reads:
(Soft dressmaker suit)
This wearable style is made of Pacific Mill’s worsted crepe Verdona in the flattering new wine shade. It gets the cosy look for Fall from the Siberian squirrel trim. The long line jacket and the new long length skirt guarantees the slender look. It is presented by Margo of California.
(hat) Her soft grey felt hat is scrolled with silver and was made by the Ideal Hat. Co.
