George Cukor filming Marilyn Monroe

1962. A bird’s eye view of George Cukor directing Marilyn on the set of Something’s Got To Give.

It looks like the balding camera operator bottom right is Franz Planer, one of the movie’s two distinguished cinematographers (the other was Leo Tover). During the 1950s Franz Planer worked with the likes of Robert Siodmak, John Huston, Edward Dmytryk and Stanley Kramer and received five Academy Award nominations.
